Description
The Derwentwater Arms is set high up in the old stone village of Calver, a small hamlet in the Hope Valley, Peak District National Park.
Owners Malcolm and Mandy Drewery purchased the business in November 2005. Since then they have been re-building a fantastic pub for the village community, providing quality cask ales, fine wines and freshly prepared meals.
The dining area has a warm atmosphere with views over the village cricket pitch and along the valley to Stoney Middleton and Eyam. The menu at the Derwentwater Arms is mixture of old favourites and new tastes and changes with the seasons and market availability. Booking is advisable.
During the summer months there is nothing nicer than sitting on the terrace of the Derwentwater Arms and watching village cricket or dining alfresco! As well as the terrace there is also an area set aside for you to play boules!
The Derwentwater Arms is a real hidden gem in the Derbyshire dales.
